CANAAN Tokyo Japanese Language School Privacy Policy

CANAAN Tokyo Japanese Language School (hereinafter referred to as "our school"), based on the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information", will endeavor to handle and protect personal information entrusted to us as follows.

1. Definition of Personal Information

   "Personal Information" in this policy refers to information about a living individual that identifies or can identify a specific individual, including name, nationality, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, family composition, health status, grades, and any other information related to an individual.

   Our school will use the personal information provided for the following purposes:

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

   Our school will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:

   1. When there is consent from the individual (student or guardian, etc.)
   2. When requested by law
   3. When it is deemed necessary due to imminent danger to human life or body
   4. When it is deemed necessary to inform parents of the student's attendance rate, test scores, etc.
   5. When, at the student's request, we process overseas travel applications, air ticket arrangements, visa applications, school admission procedures, dormitory procedures, homestay procedures, accommodation arrangements, airport transfers, part-time job introductions, job placement, etc.

5. Entrustment of Personal Information

   In order to facilitate smooth business operations, our school may outsource some of its operations and provide, or continue to provide, personal information to the outsourced parties to the extent necessary. In such cases, our school and the Canaan Group schools will enter into contracts with these outsourced parties regarding the handling of such information and will provide appropriate supervision.

6. Disposal of Personal Information

   Personal information provided by customers to our school that is determined not to be used for the intended purpose in the future will be disposed of in an irreproducible form.

7. Inquiries Regarding Personal Information

   If a student requests any of the following regarding their personal information managed by our school, we will respect the student's wishes and take necessary measures within reasonable range.

   3. Revocation of all or part of the consent already given to the school regarding the use of personal information

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    This privacy policy is governed by and operated in accordance with the laws of Japan. If either party wishes to seek legal action, they may do so at Tokyo courts.
