EDUCATION POLICY

Conversation is the lesson focus in Canaan Tokyo Japanese Language School.
We will help you to develop solid Japanese language skills through conversation and support you to design the life of your own, enhance thinking skills as well as social skills.

Thinking Skills

to solve problems for which there are no predetermined answers, discover and overcome them.

For example, the ability to select the necessary ones out of the information sea and the ability to recognize contradictions in statements and correct them.

Social Skills

Social skills that are necessary when living in the society to build relationship with others as well as control your own emotions and actions.
They also refer to the skills to respect others with different opinions or ways of seeing things concerning any debatable topics with no right answers.

Conversation Skills

Conversation is talking about what lies beneath the surface.
Communication problems occur when people misunderstand each other or cannot reach consensus even when they are exchanging words.
In such cases, "conversation" is necessary.

With Canaan's unique curriculum, you can seamlessly grow and pass from beginner to advanced level. And beyond!

Students' language proficiency is measured not only by tests (achievement tests) to determine whether the course content is firmly established, but also by external tests (JPET) in an all-around way.
Student's current level and the gap to their goals will be accurately captured by comprehensive and seamless Japanese language proficiency evaluation.

JPET is……

A test that evaluates Japanese language proficiency developed by asking and analyzing questions based on the Sundai Group's over 30 years experience of Japanese language education.

Reflection Sheet

Students will review their learning every week using Canaan Tokyo's unique reflection sheet. This allows students to reconfirm their own learning progress and develop a sense of self-efficacy. There is a FB from the teacher on the sheet.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling will be held at the end of each semester.
Students can understand their growth within the semester and their current level. Set the next goal together with the instructor.

GUIDANCE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

  • EJU/JLPT mock exams will be held before the examination day.
  • A school entrance information session will be held in the month of enrollment (April, July, October, January).
  • Guidance on interviews and application letters will be conducted as necessary, mainly from September of the second year onwards.

In addition, we will provide necessary guidance according to each individual's academic ability and progress.
